Kemah Personal Injury Lawyer

Houston and Kemah Personal Injury Lawyer John Neese represents victims of serious personal injury and wrongful death, 18 Wheelers Accidents, Truck and Commercial Vehicle Accidents, Bus Accidents, Workplace Injuries, Plant Accidents, Refinery Explosions, and other Kemah personal injuries.

We are passionate about our cases

While many other firms, especially those who advertise heavily, take on as many cases as possible, the Neese Law Firm operates differently. We accept only a small number of cases each year so we can invest all of our resources into each case. We are passionate about every case and believe that taking on too many cases affects not only the value of your case, but also the quality of your attorney-client relationship.

It's extremely important to hire the right lawyer

Hiring the right lawyer can be one of the most important decisions a person makes. “Whatever the case, when the stakes are high, it takes a combination of experience, focus, and stubborn determination to win,” says firm founder John Neese.

In serious personal injury cases, the “wait-and-see” approach does not work.  At the Neese Law Firm we move quickly to investigate claims and to preserve critical evidence. “We prepare every case for trial from the very beginning,” says John Neese. “In every case, our goal is to either settle the case or go to trial within one year.”

Our job is helping people

The Neese Law Firm handles general negligence and mesothelioma lawsuits. We represent people who have been seriously injured and the families of those killed by the negligent, reckless, and intentional actions or inactions of others.

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos fibers. It affects the mesothelium, a lining that covers most of the body's internal organs like the stomach, heart, and lungs though the cancer is most common in the lungs.

Who is a at risk?

Between 1940 and 1979, approximately 27.5 million people who worked in the building or construction industry, shipyards, auto manufacturing plants, oil refineries, or chemical plants were occupationally exposed to asbestos in the United States. Once the dangers of asbestos became well known, efforts were made to reduce exposure and some countries have banned its use all together. In the United States, asbestos is still used but is heavily regulated by agencies like OSHA or the EPA.

The danger is not over

Mesothelioma can take anywhere from 20 to 50 years after exposure to develop and trends indicate that the rate in which people are diagnosed will continue to increase over the next ten or more years. According to the World Health Organization, exposure to asbestos fibers at the workplace is one of the leading causes of occupational disease worldwide. While exposed workers may be entitled to recover compensation from the companies that made or used asbestos-containing products, asbestos litigation can be complicated. Cases often involve more than one defendant, require expert witnesses and can be time-consuming and difficult. Hiring the right law firm is critical.
